Beautiful, Intricately Detailed, Vintage Handcrafted and Signed Yellow Gold Vermeil over Sterling Silver and Enamel Dimensional Filigree Rose Brooch.

   The brooch measures just over approximately 15/16 of an inch, or about 24 millimeters, wide, by just over approximately 1 and 1/16 inches high, and about 3/8 of an inch, or approximately 9.52 millimeters, deep, not including the pinback. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Standard locking pinback. Stamped in an applied lozenge on the back, "925", "79 GE", and signed with a Star maker's mark. Weight is approximately 3.55 grams, which includes the enamel weight, of course.

  This brooch is in very good vintage condition, though it will have the expected light surface scratches and possibly tiny dings to the silver from age and normal wear. No noticeable wear to the gold vermeil. There are a few holidays in the enameling, visible in the photos, but very tiny and hard to see with the naked eye. No dents, creases or bends found. Hand polished, but it may need further attention if you wish it to be entirely clean, as the brooch was completely black to start. The locking pin back works well, and the pin is still sharp and straight.

   An outstanding, delicately and finely crafted vintage yellow gold over Sterling silver and enamel rose brooch. Wonderful attention to detail in the enamel color application, the ornate filigree work, and lifelike depth.
