Beautiful, Unusual, Vintage Sterling Silver Carved Dimensional Cross Pendant in Brushed and Polished Finishes on a Fancy Bar Link Chain Necklace.
The pendant measures just under approximately 15/16 of an inch, or about 23.75 millimeters, high, bale included, by just over about 1/2 of an inch, or around 13 millimeters, wide, and just over approximately 1/16 of an inch, or about 2 millimeters, thick. The bale opening measures about 1/8 of an inch, or approximately 3.17 millimeters, wide. (Included you'll see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) It is stamped or illegibly signed, on the back of the cross.
The necklace chain measures about 18 and 1/4 inches long, from end to end, and will fit (closed) at just over about 18 and 1/8 inches in length. The chain is approximately 3 millimeters, or just under about 1/8 of an inch, wide. Stamped, "925", on the spring ring clasp, and stamped, ".925", again on an inline lozenge, unsigned. Combined weight of the chain and pendant is approximately 4.10 grams.
This necklace is in very good vintage condition, but will likely have a few of the expected light surface scratches from normal wear. The chain has no kinks or bends, and the clasp works well and holds securely. Hand polished, but they may have missed tarnish.
A very lovely, eye-catching and detailed, vintage Sterling silver modern cross pendant and fancy link necklace. The contrasting finishes give a wonderful depth to the carved cross, which is set off beautifully on the uniquely stylish chain.
