Large, Lovely, Adorably Detailed, Vintage Sterling Silver Wraparound Carved Dolphin or Porpoise Ring.
The ring is approximately a size 8. The face of the ring measures approximately 7/16 of an inch, or about 11.1125 millimeters, high, with the decorated portion measuring about 11/16 of an inch, or approximately 17.4625 millimeters, wide. The face of the ring projects just under about 1/4 of an inch or roughly 6.25 millimeters, from the finger. The narrowest part of the band measures just over approximately 1/16 of an inch, or around 2 millimeters, wide. (Included you will find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) It is stamped inside, "925", unsigned. Weight is approximately 2.18 grams.
This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be the expected surface scratches and likely a few tiny dings in the silver from normal wear. The ring remains round and true. Hand polished, but there will still be areas of missed tarnish, especially in the crevices and interior.
A very sweet, curvy and dimensional, vintage Sterling silver dolphin ring. Nice detail in the dolphin, even the face is well-rendered and packed with personality.
