The pendant measures just under approximately 1 and 3/8 inches, or about 34.5 millimeters, high, including the clip bale, by just under about 7/8 of an inch or about 22 millimeters, wide, and about 5/16 of an inch deep. (Included you will see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The bale opening measures just under approximately 1/8 of an inch, or about 3 millimeters, wide, and is a clip-style which can be squeezed to open. Stamped, "925", on the back of the bale, and signed with a pictorial maker's mark resembling a citrus slice.
The chain measures about 17 and 7/8 inches long, from end to end, and will fit (closed) at about 17 and 3/4 inches in length. The chain is approximately 3.5 millimeters, or just over about 1/8 of an inch, wide. Stamped, "Sterling", on the spring ring clasp, and signed with a Y or A within a circle maker's mark. Combined weight of the chain and pendant is approximately 13.55 grams, which includes the glass weight, naturally.
This necklace is in excellent (newer) vintage condition, with only the expected light surface scratches. I saw no damage to the glass. The spring ring clasp works well and holds securely. Hand polished, but they may have missed some tarnish, especially on the chain.
A very beautiful and unusual vintage Sterling silver and fused glass pendant necklace. Rich, deep color, fabulous play of light and depth of hue in the pendant on a very nice quality chain.
