The necklace measures approximately 21 and 1/8 inches long, from end to end, and should fit at just over about 21 inches long, closed. The beads measure just over about 1/4 of an inch, or approximately 6.5 millimeters wide. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Stamped, "925", on the lobster claw clasp, unsigned. Weight is approximately 27.2 grams.
This necklace is in very good vintage condition. It will have the expected surface scratches and possibly a few very tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. No visible dents or creases to the beads. The Sterling chain the beads are strung on appears to be in excellent condition. The lobster claw clasp works fine and holds securely. Hand polished repeatedly, but there are still some spots between beads where tarnish remains, as it was completely blackened to begin.
A very nice, well-crafted example of a vintage Sterling silver beaded strand necklace. A nice profile and healthy weight, with rich luster in this lovely bead necklace.
