The ring is approximately a size 6. The face of the ring measures just over approximately 5/8 of an inch, or about 16 millimeters, high, with the setting measuring approximately 7/16 of an inch, or about 11.1125 millimeters, wide and projecting just under about 1/4 of an inch from the finger. The split side decoration measures about 3/4 of an inch wide. The band narrows in back to just under approximately 1/16 of an inch, or about 1.5 millimeters wide. (Included you will see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) No marks as to content, nor signature, but the ring acid tests as Sterling silver. Weight is approximately 4.67 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be all of the expected surface scratches and dings in the silver from normal wear. The thick band still appears to be round. I didn't find any chips or cracks in the agate. Hand polished, but there will still be areas of missed tarnish, especially within the tighter crevices, as it was completely black to begin. There is an acid test mark inside. This is a handcrafted item, and will not be perfectly symmetrical nor machine-perfect in any other way.
A very nice Southwest artisan crafted Sterling silver and agate ring. The setting showcases the stone without upstaging its natural beauty. Great color and interest.
