Beautiful, Detailed, Handcrafted Vintage Southwestern Sterling Silver and Sawtooth Set Pink Mother of Pearl Feather Blossom Split-Side Ring.
The ring is approximately a size 6 and 1/2. The face of the ring measures just over approximately 5/8 of an inch or about 16 millimeters, high, and projects roughly 3/16 of an inch from the top of the finger. The decorated area measures approximately 3/4 of an inch, or approximately 19.05 millimeters, wide. The band narrows to just over about 1/16 of an inch, or around 2 millimeters, wide, in the back. (Included you will see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Not marked as to content, nor signed, but acid tested as solid Sterling silver. Weight is approximately 2.76 grams, which includes the shell weight, of course.
This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be the expected surface scratches and probably a few tiny dings in the silver from normal wear. This is a handcrafted ring, and will not be machine-perfect in any way. The band remains pretty much round and true. There is no damage to the mother of pearl. There is a discreet acid test mark on the back of the ring face. Hand polished, but there will still be areas of missed tarnish, in addition to the patina intentionally preserved.
