Each earring face measures just under approximately 7/16 of an inch, or about 11 millimeters, high and wide, by just over about 1/16 of an inch, or approximately 2 millimeters, thick. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The clutch of each earring is stamped, "925", unsigned. Some pairs have the back of one earring stamped, "925", in others both are stamped. Combined weight is approximately 3.3 grams.
These are new old stock earrings, never sold nor worn, but vintage from the 1980's. There may be light surface scratches to the silver from years of storage, though they have never been out of their original plastic packaging bags. Hand polished, but there may still be areas of missed tarnish, as care was taken not to remove too much of the antiquing from within the carved details. There will be very slight variations, as the earrings shown are a representative sample of the median.
A very different, well-made, pair of vintage Sterling and tribal earrings. Strong, outstanding, design in a very versatile size and novel shape.
