Lovely, Beautifully Handcrafted, Vintage Mexican Sterling Silver Collar or Choker Necklace. This is the flat style of collar, gently curving and angling toward the sides, to comfortably match the profile of the body, and clasping in back.

   The necklace measures just under approximately 3/16 of an inch, or about 4.75 millimeters, wide, and roughly 1/16 of an inch, or about 1.585 millimeters, thick. The inside circumference, as shown, is just under about 17 inches when closed. Open at rest, the gap is just over about 3/4 of an inch, so the necklace must be gently flexed open to fit around the neck. (Included you'll see a US Quarter in the photographs, for measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The collar is stamped, "Mexico 925", on the back, unsigned. Weight is healthy, at approximately 29.5 grams.

   This necklace is in excellent vintage condition, but will exhibit the expected light surface scratches and possibly tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. The collar is still pretty much round, but no longer completely flat, due to the natural flex when opened, but not so much as to affect wear or enjoyment. The catch opening is slightly bent, but also shouldn't affect wear. This is a handmade piece which will not be machine-perfect in any way. Hand polished, but it may have missed some tarnish here and there.
