Beautiful, Sparkly, Signed Vintage Italian Sterling Silver Flat Herringbone Chain Necklace, with a Fancy Diamond Cut Ellipse Design and Beveled Profile.
The necklace measures about 24 and 1/8 inches long, from end to end, and will fit at approximately 24 inches in length (closed). The chain measures approximately 1/4 of an inch, or about 6.35 millimeters, wide. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The necklace is stamped, "925", and, "Made in Italy", on either side of one end cap, and signed, "IBB", o the other end cap. Stamped, "925", again on the lobster claw clasp Weight is approximately 18.06 grams.
This necklace is in very good vintage condition, with only the expected light surface scratches and normal wear. It has one or two very slight bends, which are not noticeable when worn, and no kinks or broken links. The lobster claw clasp is in good working condition, and holds securely. Hand polished, but there may be more tarnish remaining.
A very lovely, nicely crafted vintage IBB Italian Sterling silver necklace. A staple accessory piece, with a shimmering, luxurious twist on the classic design in a versatile length.
