The ring is currently approximately a size 6, but is adjustable by gently bending to fit your finger. The onyx side of the face of the ring measures approximately 1/4 of an inch, or about 6.35 millimeters, high, with the opposite, ball-detailed side measuring about 7/16 of an inch, or approximately 11.1125 millimeters, high. The band graduates in width from one side to the other. The ball details should project roughly about 3/8 of an inch from the top of the finger. (Included you'll see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) No marks as to content, nor is the piece signed, but acid testing confirms solid Sterling silver. Weight is approximately 4.2 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be the expected surface scratches and tiny dings in the silver from normal wear. This is a handcrafted ring, and will not be machine-perfect in any way. The band is still fairly round and true, though it has clearly been adjusted down in size in the past, but is not bent, creased, nor flattened. There is no damage to the onyx. Hand polished, but there will still be areas of missed tarnish, especially in the crevices between the ball details. Pl
A strikingly unusual and artistic vintage artisan Sterling silver and black onyx ring. Such an interesting and outstanding design with the charm only a handcrafted piece possesses.
