The necklace measures about 16 and 5/8 inches long, from end to end, and will fit at about 16 and 1/2 inches long, fastened. The chain portion is approximately 2 millimeters, or just over about 1/16 of an inch, wide. (Included you'll find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Each setting measures just over 7/16 of an inch, or about 11.5 millimeters, wide, and just under approximately 5/16 of an inch, or about 7.5 millimeters, deep. The entire drop-style, six-stone set area measures approximately 4 and 5/8 inches wide. The necklace is partially stamped, "925", on the back of the central setting, and has been acid tested as solid Sterling silver, as well. The piece is unsigned. Weight is approximately 15.3 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This necklace is in good vintage condition, with no kinks or bends in the chain. There will be the expected surface scratches and possibly tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. One stone has a crack along the edge which appears inherent to the piece, and is stable in it's setting. The other stones have natural surface irregularities, but no chips or cracks are visible in them. The rings which connect the chain to the gemstone section are imperfectly attached, with the ends lapped over each other, but both are secure. This is a handcrafted item, and it will not be machine-perfect in any way. Hand polished, but it may need further attention, especially around the rope details. The simple hook clasp works as intended.
A very lovely vintage handmade Sterling silver and Labradorite drop style necklace. Each stone flashes iridescence as it catches the light, and is full of brilliant color. A most unusual, standout design with wonderful attention to detail.
