Beautiful, Exquisitely Detailed, Handcrafted Antique Art Deco Solid 10K White Gold Filigree Camphor Glass and Diamond Brooch.
The brooch measures approximately 13/16 of an inch, or about 20.6375 millimeters, high, by approximately 1 and 1/16 inches, or about 26.985 millimeters, wide, and just under about 1/8 of an inch, or roughly 3 millimeters, thick, not including the pinback. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) C-clasp pinback with rollover clip lock. Stamped on the back of the clasp, "10K", unsigned. Also discreetly acid tested as solid 10K gold. The brooch weighs approximately 4.8 grams, which includes the glass and stone weight, of course. The diamond was tested with a Mizar Diamondnite. The round diamond, at approximately 2 millimeters across, equates to a rough guesstimated mounted carat weight of approximately .03 carat.
This brooch is in very nice vintage condition. It may exhibit a few of the expected light surface scratches and possibly tiny dings to the gold from age and normal wear. The face of the glass appears to have few, if any, scratches. No damage to the diamond. The locking c-clasp pin back works well, and the pin itself remains straight and sharp. There is an extremely discreet acid test mark on the rear edge of the pin. Lightly cleaned by hand, but it has not been professionally polished.
A gorgeous, delicately and finely crafted, old Art Deco 10K solid white gold and diamond camphor glass pin. A stunning piece.
