Large, Beautiful, Detailed Vintage or Antique Handcrafted 950 Silver and Azurite Malachite Cannetille Filigree Pin Pendant.
The piece measures approximately 1 and 5/16 inches high, by about 1 and 3/8 inches wide, and roughly 3/16 of an inch, or approximately 4.7625 millimeters, thick, not including the pinback or bale. The bale opening measures approximately 3/16 of an inch, or about 4.7625 millimeters, wide. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Old school c-clasp pinback. Stamped, "950", on an attached lozenge on the back, stamped, "950", again on the bale, unsigned. The 950 mark represents a silver content of 95%, higher than Sterling silver, which is 92.5%. Weight is approximately 7.52 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This old brooch is in fairly nice vintage condition, considering its age. It will have the expected surface scratches and tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. The stone is somewhat roughly finished, but has no cracks or chips. Hand polished, but it may need further attention, especially to the interior crevices. The old c-clasp pin back works, but the pin is a bit bent and may need gentle reshaping.
