Beautiful, Sparkly, Signed Vintage 14K Solid Yellow Gold and Channel Set Tapered Baguette Diamond J-Shaped Hoop Pierced Earrings.
Each earring face measures approximately 9/16 of an inch, or about 14.2875 millimeters, high by about 1/8 of an inch, or approximately 3.17 millimeters, wide at the top, and just over approximately 1/8 of an inch , or about 3.5 millimeters, wide at the bottom, and approximately 1/4 of an inch, or about 6.35 millimeters, from front to back . Though perfectly accurate measurement of a set stone is impossible, each diamond is approximately 2 millimeters by 1 and 1/2 millimeters, by 1 millimeter, for an estimated total carat weight of roughly .65 carats. (Included you'll find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The back of each earring is stamped, "14K", and signed with an infinity maker's mark. The original clutch is stamped, "585 14K", and also signed with the infinity maker's mark. The replacement clutch is stamped, "14K", unsigned. Also, these earrings were discreetly acid tested and confirmed to be solid 14K gold. Diamonds were tested with a Mizar DiamondNite. Combined weight is approximately 2 grams, which includes the diamond weight, of course.
These are vintage earrings, which have been worn and enjoyed. They will have the expected light surface scratches and possibly a few very tiny dings to the gold, from normal wear. The posts are both pretty straight, one with a very slight bend. The clutches are mismatched, one original to the earrings, one a 14K replacement. No damaged or missing diamonds. There is a very discreet acid test mark on the bottom edge of one earring. Lightly cleaned by hand, but they have not been professionally polished.
A very pretty, feminine and classy pair of vintage 14K gold and diamond earrings. Simple but shimmery design, comfortable and lovely.
