Beautiful, Delicately Feminine and Sparkly, Signed Vintage Solid 14K White Gold, Blue Sapphire, and Diamond Accented Ring.

   The ring is approximately a size 5, but is sizeable by your jeweler. The face of the ring measures approximately 5/16 of an inch, or about 7.9375 millimeters high. The decorated area measures approximately 7/16 of an inch, or around 11.1125 millimeters, wide. The band narrows to just over about 1/16 of an inch, or around 2 millimeters, wide at the narrowest point and is 2 millimeters thick, as well. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The sapphire measures about 5 millimeters by 3 millimeters, for an estimated mounted carat weight of approximately .35 carat. Each diamond measures approximately 1.585 millimeters in diameter for an estimated total carat weight of about .030 carats. The ring is marked, "14K", inside the band, and signed with what appears to be an, "a" and crescent moon maker's mark, along with the likely style number 272. Discreetly acid tested as solid 14K gold, as well. Diamonds tested with a Mizar Diamondnite. Weight is approximately 2.39 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.

   This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be the expected surface scratches and tiny dings in the gold from normal wear. No damage to the diamonds, though the sapphire has some flea bite chips along one edge, visible under a 10X loupe. The thick ring remains round and true. This ring has only been given a light hand cleaning, and it may need further attention in order to really sparkle.
