Beautiful, Sparkly and Richly Colored, Signed Vintage 14K Solid White Gold and Faceted Round Natural Rhodolite Garnet Three-Prong Proud Set Stud Pierced Earrings.
Each earring face measures about 5/16 of an inch, or approximately 7.9375 millimeters, across, by just under about 1/4 of an inch, or approximately 6.25 millimeters deep. Each stone measures just over approximately 1/4 of an inch, or about 6.5 millimeters, in diameter, by just under approximately 3/16 of an inch, or about 5 millimeters, wide, and just over roughly 1/16 of an inch, or about 4.7 millimeters, deep. Though perfectly accurate measurement of a set stone is nearly impossible, each of the garnets is approximately 1.03 carats, for an estimated total carat weight of roughly 2.06 carats.(Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Each of the clutches is stamped, "14K", and signed with a couple of maker's stamps and the letter, "K". Each is earring post is stamped, "14K" and signed with what may be "OCD", or perhaps, "OOD". Also, these earrings were very discreetly acid tested and confirmed to be solid 14K gold. Combined weight is approximately 1.57 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
These are vintage earrings, which have been worn and enjoyed. They may have the expected light surface scratches and possibly a few tiny dings to the gold from normal wear. Both posts appear pretty straight, one less so, but both are perfectly wearable. No chips to the stones, and both stones are firm in their settings. The luxury sized 14K clutches both hold securely. Lightly hand cleaned, but they have not been professionally polished.
A gorgeous, very nicely made pair of signed vintage 14K white gold and rhodolite garnet stud earrings. Nicely sized, in heavy settings which flatter the deep color and sparkle of the stones. Just lovely.
