Beautiful, Simply and Daintily Handcrafted Vintage Southwestern Split-Side Sterling Silver and Cabochon Larimar Ring.
The ring is approximately a size 9, perhaps just slightly larger. The face of the ring measures approximately 7/16 of an inch or about 11.1125 millimeters, high. The decorated portion measures approximately 11/16 of an inch, or about 17. 4625 millimeters, wide and projects just over about 3/16 of an inch high, or approximately 5 millimeters, from the finger. The band narrows to just over about 1/16 of an inch, or around 2 millimeters, wide, in the back. (Included you will see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Stamped, "925", behind the setting, unsigned. (I could not get a good photo of the stamp.) Weight is approximately 1.25 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be the expected surface scratches and probably a few tiny dings in the silver from normal wear. This is a handcrafted ring, which will not be machine-perfect in any way. The band is no longer perfectly round, with one slight bend. There is no damage to the stone. Hand polished, but there will still be areas of missed tarnish, especially in the crevices.
A very pretty, petite and sweet vintage Southwest Artisan Sterling silver and larimar ring. Striking color, with a tiny touch of green in the classic blue larimar in a sleek setting designed to show off the natural beauty of the stone.
