Beautiful, Sparkly, Signed, Vintage Solid 14K White Gold and Round Brilliant Diamond Pendant Necklace. The teardrop portion of the pendant is concave, with cutouts framing the diamond setting. These cutout areas reflected the camera lens, creating the appearance of a black line or black enamel, but it is actually open space.
The pendant measures approximately 3/4 of an inch, or about 19.05 millimeters high, by just under about 3/8 of an inch, or approximately 9.5 millimeters, wide, and is just over roughly 1/8 of an inch, or about 3.5 millimeters, deep. Though it's impossible to measure a set stone with perfect accuracy, the diamond is just over about 1/8 of an inch in diameter, for an estimated carat weight of .15 carat. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The bale opening measures approximately 1/16 of an inch, or about 1.5 millimeters wide. Diamond tested with a Mizar DiamondNite.
Combined weight is approximately 1.69 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This necklace is in excellent vintage condition, but will likely exhibit the expected light surface scratches to the gold from normal wear. The chain has no kinks or bends, and the spring ring clasp works well and holds securely. No visible damage to the diamond. Lightly cleaned by hand, but it has not been professionally polished.
A very pretty signed vintage I4K white gold & diamond drop pendant necklace. Lots of sparkle and exquisite style in a classy and sophisticated piece. Much, much lovelier in person than the camera could capture.
