The chain measures just over about 18 and 1/2 inches long, from end to end, and should fit at roughly 18 and 1/2 inches in length, closed. It is approximately 1.5 millimeters, or just under about 1/16 of an inch, wide. Stamped on the spring ring clasp, "14KT", and signed with an "X" maker's mark.
The pendant measures just over approximately 9/16 of an inch, or about 14.5 millimeters high, bale included, by just under about 7/16 of an inch, or approximately 11 millimeters, wide, and roughly 3/16 of an inch, or 4.7625 millimeters, deep. The bale opening measures approximately 1/16 of an inch, or about 1.585 millimeters, wide.
Though it's nearly impossible to provide a precise measurement for a set stone, each of the eight small diamonds is approximately 1 millimeter in diameter, for an estimated carat weight of .005 carats, giving the pendant a total carat weight of roughly .04 carats of diamonds. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Stamped on the back of the pendant, "14K", and signed, "AK", along with a copyright symbol and the numbers, "55". Also discreetly acid tested as solid 14K gold. Diamonds tested with a Mizar DiamondNite.
Combined weight is approximately 1.55 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This necklace is in excellent vintage condition, but will likely exhibit the expected light surface scratches to the gold from normal wear. The chain has no kinks or bends, and the clasp works well and holds securely. Lightly cleaned by hand, but it has not been professionally polished.
A very pretty, feminine and shimmering, signed vintage I4K gold and diamond heart pendant necklace. Delicately designed, lovely and versatile.
