Wonderful, Highly Detailed, Little Handcrafted Vintage Guatemalan 900 Silver Etched Quetzal Bird Pin or Brooch.

   The brooch measures approximately 1and 1/4 inches, or about 31.75 millimeters, high, by approximately 11/16 of an inch, or about 17.4625 millimeters, wide. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Old c-clasp pinback with flip-up hinged lock. Stamped on the back, "Guatemala", and, "900", and either unsigned or illegibly signed. Weight is approximately 1.4 grams.

   This old brooch is in very good vintage condition. It may have the expected light scratches and possibly a few tiny dings to the silver from age and normal wear. Hand polished, but it may need further attention, as it was completely black to begin, though it looks much better in person than in the photos. The c-clasp pin back works as designed, the locking bar moves and holds well, and the pin is straight and sharp.

   A very sweet, carefully handmade little vintage 900 silver Quetzal bird pin. Great attention to fine detail. A beautiful creature, all curvy plumage and hand etched sparkle, with lots of character.
