Gorgeous, Impressive, Thick and Heavy, Nicely Crafted and Signed Vintage Sterling Silver Twisted Rope Chain Necklace.

The necklace measures about 18 and 3/4 inches long, from end to end, and will fit at approximately 18 and 1/8 inches in length (closed). The chain measures just over approximately 3/16 of an inch, or about 4.8 millimeters, wide. (Included you'll see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The necklace is stamped, "925", and signed with a, "Double V" maker's mark, on the outer edge of both end caps. Stamped, "925", again on the lobster claw clasp. Weight is very healthy, at approximately 35.37 grams.

This necklace is in very good vintage condition, but will have the expected light surface scratches and normal wear. It has no kinks or bends. The lobster claw clasp is in good working condition, and holds securely. Hand polished, but there may be more tarnish remaining within the crevices. There is an acid test mark on one end cap which will come away with polishing, if you choose.

An outstanding, signed vintage Sterling silver rope necklace. Rich and shimmery, with a strong profile and weight. A very striking version of a classic style that really makes a statement.
