The oval malachite face of the bracelet measures about 3/4 of an inch, or approximately 19.05 millimeters, wide, by approximately 9/16 of an inch, or about 14.2875 millimeters, high, and just over about 1/4 of an inch, or approximately 6.35 millimeters, thick. The band portion of the bangle measures just over about 1/16 of an inch, or approximately 2 millimeters, wide.
The closed bracelet measures approximately 6 and 3/16 inches in interior circumference or, if you prefer, interior width is about 2 and 5/16 inches, interior depth is approximately 1 and 5/8 inches. The gap provided when the bracelet is opened is about 1 and 1/8 inches wide. Obviously, gentle bending will allow the bracelet to better fit your wrist. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Weight is approximately 9 grams, which includes the gem weight, of course. Stamped on the back of the oval malachite setting, "Sterling Mexico", and signed, "AIS".
This bangle is in good vintage condition. It will have the expected surface scratches and tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. No chips or cracks in the stone, just surface irregularities. The hinge and catch work fine. The band is slightly out of round, but not severely bent. Hand polished extensively, but it may need further attention, as it was completely black with tarnish when begun.
A very pretty, classic vintage signed Mexican artisan Sterling silver and malachite bangle bracelet. Very easy to wear, with great color and interest in the stone.
