Beautiful, Detailed, Signed Vintage Ortak "Malcolm Gray" Art Deco Scottish Glasgow Roses Sterling Silver Pin or Brooch, by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. This piece is brand new, with certificate, in it's original box, without tags.
The brooch measures approximately 1 and 13/16 inches, or about 46.0375 millimeters, high, by just under approximately 1/2 of an inch, or about 13 millimeters, wide, and roughly 1/16 of an inch, or about 1.585 millimeters, thick, not including the pinback. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Standard rollover locking pinback. Stamped, "925", and signed, "MG", in a circle on the back.
This is a new brooch in it's original box, with certificate. It was a gift the recipient never wore. It was stored long enough to become tarnished so was removed from the box long enough to hand polish, measure, weigh and photograph it. The velvet-lined plastic box and paper coa card appear undamaged, except for a bit of lint on the velvet lining.
