Each earring face measures just under approximately 3/4 of an inch, or about 19 millimeters, high and wide, by approximately 5/16 of an inch or about 7.9375 millimeters, from front to back. (Included you'll see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Each is stamped, "925", on the brand new deluxe replacement clutch, and one earring is stamped on the interior, "Sterling 1/20 12K G.F.", and signed, "Tom Hawk". Combined weight is approximately 8.94 grams.
These are vintage earrings, which have been worn and enjoyed. They will have the expected light surface scratches to the silver from normal wear. No visible wear to the gold. One post appears to be pretty straight, the other one has a bit of a bend, but still seems to sit properly and hold the clutch well. The brand new deluxe Sterling clutches hold very securely. Hand polished, but they probably retain some tarnish, especially within the details, in addition the desirable patina intentionally avoided.
An outstanding, heavily and nicely handmade pair of detailed vintage Sterling silver and gold filled earrings, by Navajo artisan Tom Hawk. Wonderful size and weight, with gorgeous, strong styling.
