The ring is currently approximately a size 6, but is adjustable by gently bending to fit your finger. The face of the ring measures just over approximately 5/8 of an inch, or about 16 millimeters, high, with the flower shaped detail measuring about 1/2 of an inch wide. The band narrows to about 1/8 of an inch, or around 3.17 millimeters, wide, at its narrowest point. (Included you will see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) It is stamped inside the band, "Taxco Mexico", and signed, "Faus R" or similar, along with the Eagle 3 mark. Weight is approximately 2.5 grams, which includes the shell weight, of course.
This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be the expected surface scratches and tiny dings in the silver from normal wear. This is a handcrafted ring, and will not be machine-perfect in any way. The band is still fairly round and true, though it has been adjusted in size in the past, but is not bent or flattened. There is no damage to the abalone, other than light surface wear and natural surface imperfection. Hand polished, but there will still be areas of missed tarnish, especially in the crevices.
A strikingly beautiful vintage handmade and signed Taxco Sterling silver and Abalone ring. Fantastic color play and interest in the inlay, lovely, feminine style.
