Lovely, Sleek and Modern, Vintage Sterling Silver Entwined Double Open Heart Brooch. The two hearts are created from a single, layered piece of silver, so two hearts become one.
The brooch measures just over approximately 1 and 3/8 inches high, by about 1 and 7/16 inches wide, and roughly 1/4 of an inch, or about 6.35 millimeters, deep, not including the pinback. (Included you will see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The brooch is stamped, "Ster.", on the back, unsigned. Weight is approximately 6.4 grams.
This brooch is in very good vintage condition, but will have the expected light surface scratches and a few tiny dings to the silver, from normal wear. Hand polished, but there could be more tarnish remaining, as it was heavily blackened to begin. The c-clasp pinback secures as intended, and the pin is still quite straight and sharp.
A very sweet, nicely crafted, vintage Sterling silver tiered open hearts brooch. Simple but impactful design. A very pretty piece.
