Large, Beautiful, Signed Vintage Peter Brams Designs Round Rope Surround 14K Solid Yellow Gold and Black Onyx Cabochon Stud Pierced Earrings.
Each earring face measures approximately 11/16 of an inch, or about 17.4625 millimeters, in diameter, by just over about 3/16 of an inch, or approximately 5 millimeters, deep. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The back of each earring is stamped, "14KT", and signed, "PBD". Each post is stamped, "PBD 14K", One clutch is stamped, "14K", and signed, "PBD" and the other is stamped, 14K", and signed, "ATL". Also discreetly acid tested as solid 14K gold. Combined weight is approximately 1.81 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
These are vintage earrings, which have been worn and enjoyed. They will have the expected light surface scratches and possibly tiny dings to the gold. No chips or cracks to the stones. The posts are pretty straight, but perhaps not perfectly so. The mismatched clutches hold securely. Lightly cleaned by hand, but they have not been professionally polished, and could possibly use more attention.
A very classy, sophisticated and lovely pair of vintage Peter Brams 14K gold and black onyx earrings. Rich depth of color, and wonderful attention to detail in the gold bezels. The camera does not do these justice.
