    Large, Beautifully Crafted and Exquisitely Detailed Vintage or Antique Italian 980 Silver Curvy Dimensional Milled and Etched Leaf Brooch.

   The brooch measures just over approximately 1 and 5/8 inches, or about 41.5 millimeters, high, by about 1 and 1/2 inches, or approximately 39.6875 millimeters, wide, and just under roughly 1/2 of an inch, or about 12.5 millimeters, deep, not including the pinback. (Included you'll see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The brooch is stamped, "980", and, "Made in Italy", on the back, unsigned. Weight is approximately 5.43 grams.

  This old brooch is in very good vintage condition, but will have the expected light surface scratches and probably a few tiny dings to the silver, from normal wear. Hand polished, but there will likely be more tarnish remaining, as it was completely black at the start. The old school locking pinback secures as intended, and the pin is still pretty straight and sharp. 

   A very lovely, sparkly and luxurious vintage Italian 980 silver leaf brooch. Inspired craftsmanship, with wonderful attention to fine detail, dimension and rich luster. Honoring and celebrating the beauty of nature. A wonderful example of old world quality and artistry.
