Amazing, Unusual, Signed Vintage Canezzi Sterling Silver Filigree Openwork Dangle French Hook Earrings, with Stained Glass Effect Inlay.
In the photos, the purple and lavender inlay appears lighter than it does to the eye. In person, these earrings have the appearance of antique platinum set with diamonds and rubies.
Each earring measures just under approximately 2 inches, or about 50.5 millimeters, high, from the top of the hook to the bottom of the drop, by about 13/16 of an inch, or approximately 20.6375 millimeters, wide, and just under about 1/4 of an inch, or roughly 6.25 millimeters, thick. (Included you will see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Each hook is stamped, "925" and each earring is stamped on the back, "925", and signed, "Canezzi". Combined weight is approximately 4.77 grams.
These are vintage earrings, which have been worn and enjoyed. They may have the expected light surface scratches and possibly a few tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. Both hooks appear to be pretty straight. No visible damage to the "stained glass" inlay. Hand polished, but there is probably missed some tarnish.
An absolutely gorgeous, large but delicate and feminine pair of vintage Sterling silver filigree with stained glass style inlay dangle earrings. These are so beautiful and ornate, the camera didn't do them justice at all. Much lovelier in person.
