The chain measures just over about 18 inches long, from end to end, and should fit at roughly 17 and 15/16 inches in length, closed. It is approximately 1.5 millimeters, or just under about 1/16 of an inch, wide. Stamped on the spring ring clasp, "14K", stamped, "14K", again on an inline lozenge.
The fixed heart pendant measures just over approximately 5/8 of an inch, or about 16 millimeters, wide, by just over about 3/4 of an inch, or approximately 19.5 millimeters, high, as it hangs, and roughly 5/16 of an inch, or 7.9375 millimeters, deep.
The pearl measures just over approximately 1/4 of an inch, or about 6.5 millimeters, in diameter. Though it's impossible to provide a precise measurement for a set stone, the larger of the two diamonds is just under about 1/8 of an inch, or approximately 3 millimeters, round for a weight of about .11 carat. The smaller of the diamonds is just over about 1/16 of an inch, or approximately 2 millimeters in diameter, for a carat weight of .034, giving the pendant a total carat weight of roughly .144 carats of diamonds. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Stamped on the back of the pendant, "14K", and signed, "I-R". Also discreetly acid tested as solid 14K gold. Diamonds tested with a Mizar DiamondNite.
Combined weight is approximately 3.56 grams, which includes the stone and pearl weights, of course.
This necklace is in excellent vintage condition, but will exhibit the expected light surface scratches to the gold from normal wear. The chain has no kinks or bends, and the spring ring clasp works well and holds securely. There is a very tiny scrape on the pearl and very tiny flea bite chip on the edge of the smaller diamond, both visible only under a 10X loupe. The lozenge catch has a bit of a bend in the center which doesn't affect wear. Lightly cleaned by hand, but it has not been professionally polished.
A very pretty, large but curvy and feminine, signed vintage I4K gold, Pearl and diamond heart pendant necklace. Heavily and skillfully crafted. Beautiful original design. A lovely and versatile high quality piece.
