Large, Beautifully Crafted, Signed Vintage Orr Curvy, Modern Sterling Silver Dimensional Open Curls Pin or Brooch.
The brooch measures approximately 1 and 3/8 inches high, by just over approximately 2 and 1/2 inches wide, and roughly 3/16 of an inch deep, not including the pinback. (Included there is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Standard locking pinback. Stamped on the back, "925", and signed by the maker, "SU", and the designer, "ORR". Weight is approximately 10.6 grams.
This brooch is in very good vintage condition. It will have the expected light scratches and possibly tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. The locking pin back holds well, but is a bit balky, and the pin has a curve in the middle. Hand polished, but it may need further attention.
A very lovely, unusual, signed vintage Orr Sterling silver brooch. Large, but feminine and sinuous. A classy, curvy, piece.
