Beautiful, Long and luxurious, Signed Vintage 10K Solid Yellow Gold Natural Round and Marquis Cut Emerald Dangle Pierced Earrings with Tiny Diamond Accents in the Center of the Flower at Top.
Each earring face measures approximately 1 and 9/6 inches, or about 39.6875 millimeters, from top to bottom, by just over about 5/16 of an inch, or approximately 8 millimeters, wide at the flower top, and roughly 1/4 of an inch, or about 6.35 millimeters wide at the bottom marquis emeralds, as they hang. Each earring is about 3/16 of an inch, or approximately 4.7625 millimeters, deep. Though perfectly accurate measurement of a set stone is nearly impossible, each diamond is approximately 1/32 of an inch in diameter, for an estimated total diamond carat weight of roughly .0050 carats. Each of the 10 round emeralds is just under about 1/8 of an inch in diameter, each of the 6 marquis emeralds is approximately 1/4 of an inch by 1/16 of an inch, for a total emerald carat weight of about 2.6 carats. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The back of each earring is stamped, "10K", and signed with a conjoined, "HV", maker's mark. Each clutch is also marked, "10K". Also, these earrings were acid tested and confirmed to be solid 10K gold. Diamonds were tested with a Mizar DiamondNite. Combined weight is approximately 2.12 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
These are vintage earrings, which have been worn and enjoyed. They will have the expected light surface scratches and possibly a few very tiny dings to the gold, from normal wear. One post is straight, the other has a very slight bend. There is one chip to the edge of a round emerald, visible under a 10X loupe. The clutches are mismatched, but both are 10k and fit fine. Hand cleaned, but they have not been professionally polished.
