Lovely, Large, Nicely Detailed, Signed Vintage Stuart Nye Copper Carved Dimensional Leaf Pin or Brooch.
The pin measures approximately 2 and 1/16 inches wide, by approximately 1 and 1/4 inches, or about 31.75 millimeters, high, and just over roughly 1/8 of an inch, or about 3.5 millimeters, deep, not including the pinback. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Standard locking pinback. Stamped, "Nye", within the shamrock maker's mark, on the back.
This pin is in good vintage condition, though it will have the expected light surface scratches and possibly a few tiny dings from normal wear. Lightly cleaned by hand, but without access to polish intended for copper, and there are a few spots of discoloration which may or may not be removable. The standard locking pin back works as designed, and the pin is still sharp and straight.
A beautiful, nicely made and richly colored, vintage Nye leaf pin. Wonderful attention to curves and etched details. The beauty of nature in autumn captured in a piece of wearable and collectible art.
