Wonderful, Large Vintage Sterling Silver and Rich Green and Brown Oval Gemstone Pendant. The stone may be jasper or perhaps agate.
The pendant measures approximately 13/16 of an inch high, including the bale, by about 1 and 1/16 inches wide, and roughly 1/4 of an inch, or about 6.35 millimeters, thick. The bale opening is about 1/8 of an inch, or about 3.17 millimeters, wide. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The pendant is stamped, "925", on the back of the bale ring, unsigned, appears handmade. Weight is approximately 8.1 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This pendant is in very good vintage condition, but will have the expected light surface scratches from normal use. There are natural surface irregularities in the stone. No visible chips or cracks. Hand polished, but there will be more tarnish remaining, especially in the crevices.
A very lovely vintage Sterling silver and gemstone pendant. Wonderful deep colors in the stone, the camera does not do it justice.
