Impressive, Handcrafted and Signed Vintage Sterling Silver and Black Enamel Carved High Relief Modernist Pin or Brooch.
The brooch measures just over approximately 1 and 7/16 inches in diameter, by just over approximately 1/8 of an inch thick, not including the pinback. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Standard locking pinback style. Stamped on the back, "Sterling", and signed with both a maker's mark and a name in lettering too abstract to make out, perhaps, "Mim" or "Viv". Weight is approximately 15 grams, which includes the enamel weight, of course.
This brooch is in very good vintage condition. It will have the expected surface scratches and possibly tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. No damage to the enamel. Hand polished, but it may need further attention, especially to the back. The pin back works fine, and the pin seems straight and sharp.
A very unique, bold and stylish signed vintage Sterling silver and enamel brooch. Most unusual, and a real standout piece.
