Gorgeous, Very Large, Artisan Crafted and Signed, Vintage Taxco, Mexican Repousse Sterling Silver Abstract Modernist Heart Pin or Brooch.
The brooch measures approximately 2 inches, or about 50.8 millimeters, high, by approximately 2 and 1/2 inches wide, and roughly 3/16 of an inch, or about 4.7625 millimeters, deep, not including the pinback. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Double c-clasp pinback. Stamped on the back, "925", and, "Mexico", and signed, "TS-74". Weight is healthy, at approximately 15.07 grams.
This brooch is in very good vintage condition. It may have a few of the expected light scratches and possibly tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. Hand polished, but it may need further attention, especially to the back where it was heavily tarnished and soiled particularly around the hinge and catch. The double c-clasp pin back works as designed, and the pin is still straight and sharp.
A very beautiful, nicely handcrafted and signed, vintage Mexican Sterling silver heart brooch. Boldly sized, while sleek, curvy, and modern. Much prettier in person than the camera could capture.
