The necklace measures approximately 17 inches long, from end to end, and should fit at about 16 7/8 inches long, closed. The smallest black beads measure just over about 5/16 of an inch, or approximately 8 millimeters wide and the largest black bead is about 1/2 of an inch, or approximately 12.7 millimeters, wide. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Stamped, "925", on the lobster claw clasp, unsigned. Weight is approximately 25.45 grams, which includes the black bead weight as well as silver, of course.
This necklace is in very good vintage condition. It will have the expected surface scratches and possibly tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. No obvious damage to the beads, but they may have some wear and possibly a few tiny chips here and there. The coated wire stringing appears to be in good condition. The lobster claw clasp works fine and holds securely. Hand polished the silver portions, and lightly cleaned the entire strand, but it's always possible that some tarnish and or soiling remains.
A very nice vintage Sterling silver and black faceted bead strand necklace. Great depth and contrast, with a touch of sparkle and a great Southwestern vibe.
