Beautiful, Delicately and Finely Crafted, Little Vintage Solid 14K Yellow Gold and Diamond Dimensional Openwork Bow Pin or Brooch.
The face of the brooch measures just over approximately 1/2 of an inch, or about 13 millimeters, high, by about 1 and 1/2 inches, or 38.1 millimeters, wide, and just under about 1/4 of an inch, or approximately 6.25 millimeters, deep not including the pinback. (Included you'll see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Standard locking pinback. Stamped on the the back, "14K", unsigned. Also very discreetly acid tested as solid 14K gold. The diamonds were tested with a Mizar Diamondnite. There are four diamonds, each approximately 1.5 millimeters wide, for to a rough guesstimated total mounted carat weight of approximately .006 carat. The brooch weighs approximately 1.82 grams, which includes the diamond weight, of course.
This brooch is in very nice vintage condition, but will have the expected light surface scratches to the gold from age and normal wear. No visible damage to the diamonds. The locking pin back works well and holds securely. The pin is sharp but has a very minor bend in the center. Lightly cleaned by hand, but it has not been professionally polished.
A wonderful, detailed and sparkly, vintage 14K solid gold and diamond bow brooch. Dainty and beautifully crafted. A charming and stylish piece.
