Beautiful, Big and Chunky, Handcrafted Vintage Southwestern Sterling Silver and Bright Blue Turquoise Split-Side Ring, with Rope Detail and Lovely Matrix Inclusions.
The ring is approximately a size 9, but may fit closer to a 9 and 1/2 if the band were completely round. The face of the ring measures approximately 1 and 1/16 inches high, by just over about 1 inch wide, and projects approximately 1/4 of an inch from the finger. The band narrows to just over about 1/16 of an inch, or around 2 millimeters, wide, in the back. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) This ring is not marked as to content, nor signed, but acid tests as Sterling silver. Weight is approximately 7.8 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be the expected surface scratches and dings in the silver from normal wear. This is a handcrafted ring, and will not be machine-perfect in any way. The band is no longer round, but is very much wearable. There is no damage to the stone, other than surface scratches. Hand polished, but there will still be areas of missed tarnish, especially in the crevices. There is a small acid test mark on the back, which can be completely removed with further polishing.
A very lovely vintage handmade Southwest Sterling silver and blue turquoise ring. Striking color and interest in the stone, tons of bold American style.
