The necklace measures just over approximately 17 and 3/4 inches long, from end to end, and should fit at about 17 and 5/8 inches long, closed. The average larger turquoise bead measures approximately 11/16 of an inch, or about 17.4625 millimeters, wide. The smallest turquoise bead measures approximately 1/4 of an inch, or approximately 6.35 millimeters, wide. (Included you'll see a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Stamped, "925", on the lobster claw clasp, unsigned. Weight is approximately 62 grams, which includes mainly the stone and coral weight, of course.
This necklace is in very good vintage condition. It may have the expected surface scratches and normal wear to the silver. No visible chips or cracks to the beads, just natural surface irregularities. Hand polished silver clasp and beads, but it's possible that some tarnish remains, due to care taken not to harm the coral. This is a handmade item which will not be perfectly symmetrical nor machine-perfect in any way.
A very striking, incredibly well figured collection of stones in this Southwest artisan beaded necklace, with Sterling silver, multicolored turquoise and red sponge coral juxtaposed in a fine display of nature's beauty. That little black dress will never be the same.
