Drop-Dead Gorgeous, Boldly Sized but Feminine, Signed Vintage Heirloom 73 Dimensional Sterling Silver and Prong-Set Marcasite French Clip Pierced Earrings.
Each earring face measures approximately 2 inches high, by about 1 and 1/4 inches wide, and just over roughly 1/8 of an inch, or approximately 3.5 millimeters, deep. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The back of each earring is stamped, "Sterling", and signed with the Heirloom 73 "H73" maker's mark. Combined weight is very substantial, at approximately 30 grams, which does include the stone weight, of course.
These are vintage earrings from the 1970's, which have been worn and enjoyed. They will have the expected light surface scratches and possibly tiny dings from normal wear. The marcasites all appear to be intact. The posts are pretty straight, one perhaps less than perfect. The hinges are strong and the clips work well. Hand polished, but there may be further tarnish to remove, if you choose, as these were very black when to began and care was taken not to damage the stones.
A very beautiful, very unusual, pair of signed vintage 1970's Sterling silver and marcasite earrings. Flowing, curvy, powerfully large and incredibly stylish.
