The necklace measures about 16 inches long, from end to end, and will fit at about 15 and 7/8 inches long. The chain is approximately 1.585 millimeters, or about 1/16 of an inch, wide. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) It is stamped, "925", on the spring ring clasp, and stamped, ".925 Romania", and signed with an unknown trefoil maker's mark, on either end.
The pendant measures just under approximately 3/4 of an inch high, by just over about 1/2 of an inch wide, and just over roughly 1/4 of an inch deep. The bale opening is about 1/8 of an inch, or about 3.17 millimeters, wide. It is stamped, "925", on the back, and signed, "BOMA". Combined weight is approximately 6.2 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This necklace is in very nice vintage condition, with no kinks or bends. There will be the expected surface scratches and tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. No damage to the stone, . Hand polished, but may need further attention, especially the chain. The clasp works well and holds securely.
A very lovely, large and sparkly, signed vintage Boma Sterling silver and amethyst pendant necklace. Wonderful color, modern but feminine.
