Gorgeous, Unique, Chunky, Lustrous and Richly Colorful, Vintage Handcrafted and Signed Zim Sterling Silver, Faceted Lapis Lazuli, Freshwater Pearl, and Labradorite Double Strand Necklace. This is strung on sturdy wire, not filament or cloth string.
The necklace measures approximately 18 and 3/8 inches long, from end to end, and should fit at about 18 inches long, closed. The two pearl and lapis strands together measure approximately 1 and 1/8 inches, or about 28.57 millimeters, wide. The average pearl measures approximately 9/16 of an inch, or approximately 14.2875 millimeters, wide, and the average lapis bead measures about 1/2 of an inch, or approximately 12.7 millimeters, wide. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Stamped, "925", on the back of the oval box clasp, signed on an attached lozenge, "ZIM", and marked, "Made with love.". Weight is impressive, at approximately 154.9 grams, which includes mainly the stone and pearl weight, of course.
This necklace is in very good vintage condition. It will have the expected surface scratches and normal wear to the silver. No visible chips or cracks to the lapis, just natural surface irregularities. The pearls have lots of natural surface irregularities, as expected, but again no visible damage. The labradorite is in excellent shape. Have not polished the silver clasp nor done any cleaning, for fear of doing harm. This is a handmade item of natural materials which will not be perfectly symmetrical nor machine-perfect in any way.
A very striking, classy and luxurious signed double strand necklace, with Sterling silver, with sparkly facets on the rich blue lapis lazuli beads and luster of the creamy white pearls juxtaposed in a uniquely beautiful display of nature's beauty set off by the fancy clasp with an iridescent labradorite cabochon glimmering atop.
