The ring is approximately a size 6. The face of the ring measures approximately 7/8 of an inch, or about 22.22 millimeters high, by about 11/16 of an inch, or about 17.4625 millimeters, wide, and projects just over about 1/4 of an inch from the finger. The band measures just over about 1/16 of an inch, or approximately 2 millimeters, wide. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The ring is not marked as to content, nor signed, but acid tests as solid Sterling silver. Weight is approximately 3.6 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be the expected surface scratches and dings in the silver from normal wear. The ring band is still round and true. There is an internal fissure in the stone, visible in the photos, though less so to the eye. This is a natural feature, not a crack which reaches either the top or bottom surface. Hand polished, but there will still be areas of missed tarnish. This is a handmade item, which will not be perfect in any sense.
A very beautiful, boldly sized, but feminine vintage handcrafted Sterling silver and carnelian ring. Great detailing and rich color in the stone.
