Large, Gorgeous, Nicely Crafted and Signed Vintage Solid 14K Yellow Gold Leafy Detailed Ring set with a Fancy Shield Cut Rhodolite Garnet.
The ring is approximately a size 7.5, but easily sizeable by your jeweler. The face of the ring measures just over approximately 3/4 of an inch, or about 19.5 millimeters high, and projects about 3/8 of an inch, or approximately 9.52 millimeters, from the finger. The decorated portion of the face is approximately 7/8 of an inch, or about 22.22 millimeters, wide. The stone alone is roughly 16 millimeters high by 12.7 millimeters wide, and 9 millimeters deep, for an estimated carat weight of about 10 carats. The band measures just under about 1/8 of an inch, or around 3 millimeters, wide at it's narrowest point in back. (Included you'll find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The ring is stamped, "14K", inside the band, and signed, "RG". Also discreetly acid tested as solid 14K gold. Weight is approximately 7.2 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This is a vintage ring, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be the expected light surface scratches and tiny dings to the gold from normal wear. No chips or cracks to the stone. The ring band remains round and true. Basic hand cleaning was done, but it has not been professionally polished. There is a very discreet acid test mark on the lower edge of the band.
