Big, Bold, Chunky, Handcrafted, Vintage Modernist Sterling Silver Statement Ring set with Two Oval, One Round, and One Emerald Cut Amethyst.
*The center of the face of the ring is open, and the camera has cast a very unattractive golden and/or brownish hue within the opening which is not visible to the eye. This piece is much nicer in person.
The ring is approximately a size 8. The face of the ring measures just over approximately 9/16 of an inch, or about 14.5 millimeters, high, and projects just under about 1/4 of an inch, or roughly 6 millimeters, from the finger, with amethyst set area measuring just under approximately 5/8 of an inch, or about 15.5 millimeters, wide. The wide band narrows in back to just over approximately 1/4 of an inch, or about 6.5 millimeters wide. (Included there is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) It is marked inside, "925", unsigned. Weight is approximately 13.01 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This is a vintage piece, which has been worn and enjoyed. There will be some of the expected surface scratches and tiny dings in the silver from normal wear. The thick band remains round and true. No viisble damage to the stones, but they are somewhat roughly faceted. Hand polished, but there may be areas of missed tarnish.
A massive but sleek and beautiful, vintage modern artisan Sterling silver and faceted amethyst ring. A striking, boldly styled, gorgeous piece. The camera did not do justice to this ring, it is much lovelier in person.
