The pendant measures approximately 1 and 1/4 inches, or about 31.75 millimeters, high, including the bale bar, by about 7/8 of an inch, or approximately 22.22 millimeters, wide, and roughly 5/16 of an inch thick. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The bale opening measures just under approximately 3/8 of an inch, or about 9.5 millimeters, wide. The pendant is stamped, "925", and "Mex", on the back. Weight is approximately 9.36 grams, which includes the stone weight, of course.
This pendant is in very good (newer) vintage condition, but will exhibit the expected light surface scratches and tiny dings to the silver from normal wear. There is some edge roughness at the bottom edge of the stone, likely occurring during cutting, which isn't readily visible to the naked eye. Hand polished, but may have missed some tarnish, especially within the small crevice below the bale bar and inside it. This is a handmade item which may not be perfectly symmetrical and will not be machine-perfect in any other sense.
A proud and beautiful, nicely sized, vintage handcrafted Mexican Sterling silver and black onyx pendant. Comfortable to wear weight with a substantial look and feel. A lovely modern piece.
