Wonderful, Huge, Vintage Gold Vermeil over Sterling Silver Dimensional Bow Brooch, with Prong-Set Multi-Colored Rhinestones.
The brooch measures approximately 3 inches high, by about 2 and 5/8 inches wide, and roughly 5/8 of an inch deep, not including the pinback. Each rhinestone setting measures just over about 3/16 of an inch, or approximately 5 millimeters across. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The piece is stamped, "Sterling", on the back, unsigned. Weight is approximately 19.4 grams, which includes the rhinestone weight, of course.
This brooch is in very good vintage condition, but will have the expected light surface scratches, scrapes and possibly tiny dings, from age and normal wear. No large dents, bends, or creases. No missing or broken stones. Hand polished, but there could be more tarnish remaining, as it began completely black. The pinback moves and locks as designed, the pin has a very slight bend, nothing serious, and remains sharp.
A fun, fabulous, and unusual, vintage Sterling silver bow brooch, with slightly rosy gold vermeil and colorful rhinestones. Big and bold in size, but feminine and curvy, with so much retro style. This will be noticed every time you wear it.
