Amazing, Large, Beautifully Crafted and Signed, Vintage Italian Solid 14K White Gold and Tiger Striped Enamel Omega Back or French Clip Pierced Hoop Earrings.
Each earring face measures just under approximately 3/4 of an inch, or about 19 millimeters, high, by just over about 5/8 of an inch, or about 16 millimeters, wide, and just over approximately 1/2 of an inch, or about 18 millimeters, from front to back, not including the clip. (Included please find a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) The underside of the hinge plate of each earring is stamped, "14KT", and, "Italy", and signed with an "MI" within a square maker's mark. Also acid tested as discreetly as possible. Combined weight is approximately 5.3 grams, which does include the enamel weight, of course.
These are vintage earrings, which have been worn and enjoyed. They will have the expected light surface scratches and possibly tiny dings to the gold, though no visible dings or dents found nor damage to the enamel. Both posts appear pretty straight, though perhaps not perfectly so. The omega or French clips move easily and close and hold securely and comfortably. One is slightly tighter closing than the other, but this is a simple adjustment if it bothers you. Lightly cleaned by hand, but they have not been professionally polished.
